dirty leather wheel steering

Any suggestion on cleaning the dirty leather wheel steering? I'm skeptical using Leather Conditioning on them, I want to avoid to have "slippery" wheel steering. Mine (tan leather) has real dirty "marks" all over on them, and has some "sticky" spots. I used wet rag to rub on it, it helps some but collects the dirty marks quick afterward. How about rubbing alcohol?

In my truck I always use either Lexol leather cleaner and then the Lexol brand conditioner or I use a leather product called Bick4. IMHO both work equally as well to clean and protect without leaving the leather slippery at all.

I like saddle soap as well for all my leather. However, I was give bottles (leather/vinyl cleaner and conditioner) of Blue Magic and it seemed to do a pretty good job.

I'm on my second truck with leather steering whell and I put a cover over this one the second day I owned it. My last one would never clean up and actually continued to get worse. BY the time I turned it in it had actually worn off the top layer of leather. This is a major flaw with Ford's.

Find a similar color of leather dye, and the second layer will look like the first again.
