I am glad I am not the only one that has encountered this. Of my graduating class at Pitt, there were 3 other electrical engineering grads I would've hired. The other 30 or so weren't worth their weight in manure to this job. I have found a lot of these people wind up with MBAs or in engineering sales (no offense if any of you are, its just my observation). Ultimately, they wind up becoming project managers and bosses for people who know what they are doing.
My buddy's dad would do that to us constantly when we were in high school and college. He ask why the junkyard mechanic/welder knows how to dissemble this transmission but you to rocket surgeons can't figure it out with all your fancy book learnings.
Congrats on the wedding! I thought it was coming up soon. I hope the bachelor party was a good time And I hope the house closing goes smoothly. I look forward to seeing the pictures of your new work space.
No hurry on the manifolds. I am still debating if that project is happening this year.... money goes out as fast as it comes in and we had a few extra expenses for the wife's schooling plus our honeymoon trip to the Bahamas at the end of July. I have contemplated selling blood and semen to help fund my vehicle projects

Small update.... exhaust hangar on the Ranger rusted through and the throttle cable snapped... luck me
Good news.... I accepted a new job with a healthy pay increase. Ultimately this will free up more toy money and take some ideas into action.
I may get the Ranger fixed this week, but other than that we are headed for the Bahamas this Saturday for our year delayed honeymoon. Its been a long time coming and we are really looking forward to it

Thanks! Me too. We will see what I get to lol. I honestly think one of the first major things will be getting the paint fixed... Peeling clear on 2 doors and the hood, rust on the bedside, and 2 rust bubbles on the roof. I have had thousands of ideas run rampant through my brain But everything takes time. I don't start until August 8th.

So the I got the exhaust on the Ranger fixed with parts I had on the shelf. I only had to buy the 45 angle piece. Here is what I cut off.
The rusted piece is an aluminized tip from Advance. The straight pipe is Summit Racing aluminized pipe. Apparently they are not created equal....
Installed a new Summit universal hangar on the bed support.
It is now very secure and tucked up nicely.

I figured I'd also put up a few picture from the honeymoon. The Bahamas are beautiful. I could have easily stayed another week. Water is blue, sand is white, the sun is out, the drinks were free, and the natives are nice

That was an amazing week. I am looking to forward to our next vacation, whatever and whenever that may be
