Also completed a very extensive radiator mod on my Ranger. I was getting sick of being cold. This proved to be very effective.

For Harbor Freight some of those tool boxes are actually really really nice and the quality comes close to the big name ones. I really like the lights, Ive gotta get me some too! I take it the radiator is a bit too effective on the ranger? Lol!

I use to see quite a few flattened pizza boxes stuffed between the radiator and grill in the winter when I worked at a tune up shop in Oregon.
good job!

I know the feeling. The holidays are always so busy. I am enjoying my slow period for repairs and modifications. I am hoping nothing major gives me issues until spring/summer.

I am very please with their quality. I extensively research everything before I buy. I couldn't find a whole lot of complaints on Harbor Freight's boxes. The radiator is ok, but I suspect my fan clutch is shot. And ever since I started using synthetic oil, this engine doesn't produce a ton of heat unless it is 100 F outside. I have plans to replace the fan, clutch, and radiator in the spring. I know there is some gunk built up in the radiator tubes and it doesn't seem to matter how many times I flush it, it just won't get completely clean.

That was my first idea, but I wanted something that would hold up a little better to the elements. I have a piece of plexiglass to make an even better one, but that required time I didn't want to spend lol

I'll post a few pictures from camp this last weekend later on today

The LEDs make night riding like daylight.

One hell of a weekend!

The new Grabber AT2s were a huge improvement over the highway terrains. I had a much easier time moving around, but I still need some posi-traction in the rear though. I definitely want to replace my fog lights with a small light bar. I need more light for night driving... I can't see crap when I am driving up the mountain to camp. As soon as the weather warms up, I can thaw out the truck and get it washed.

Nice pictures, looks like an awesome time.

Are you thinking a Limited Slip like a Tru-Trac or a Locker for the rear? Have you seen the KD Fabworks light bar brackets?

Where do you ride your quad at? I couldn't tell from the photo what plates were on the ATV's?

By the way I just went through your entire thread and I will say you have done some great work on that truck and a lot of it, to keep it going! That is good to see you keeping it going instead of letting it rot out and eventually buying another truck.

Any plans to drop a Diesel in it or that V8 holding up well?

True-trac or if I can find good deal on a factory axle with matching gears and limited slip, I'd just swap the axle... then I don't have to set up gears. Also contemplated swapping in a Powertrax No-Slip in my Dana 60 front.

KD Fabworks were the brackets I was going for. And this is the LED bar. Slim Series LED Light Bar - 23 Inch 100 Watt - Combo : Tuff Led Lights

I like the look if the single row better than the dual in these bumpers. I am going to wire to the factory fog switch and then do the wire mod that lets the fogs be on at the same time as the high beams.

It was in the 20s, but up on that power line, it was windy as hell. I have headed grips and mitts on my quad. With those, I can ride without gloves. As long as my hands and feet aren't cold, I can ride in whatever. A few years back, our January ride it was below zero one day. That was REALLY cold

We ride in Pennsylvania in a few different areas. These photo were taken near the Allegheny National Forest in the north western part of the state.

Thank you. I really do like this truck. I watched my previous one rot away as fast as I payed it off and I swore that I would not let that happen again. I'd love to have a new truck, but I can't reason with the payments. For the time being, I don't have kids and I don't mind doing the work. In the coming years, I'd like to change several things on this truck to get it exactly how I want it. Oddly enough, DarkJedi has done a majority of the modifications I have on my bucket list. The Full Traction coilover conversion he has makes me drool. I like what I have, but I want to make it better and suit my needs in the most convenient way.

Sticking with the V8 for now. I will probably be doing headers on it this spring along with the y-pipe. In the not so distant future, I'd like to get the 5 star tunes as well. At this time, I don't tow anything heavy enough to justify a diesel and I really prefer not to have the increased maintenance cost. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But I usually choose practical over everything else and for now, the gasser suits me just fine. And I love the sound of a V8.

Looking good! The LEDS on the wheelers makes a huge difference doesn't it lol.
Worth every penny for that.
Big group of people, looks fun as usual.
We got only about 1/8" of snow on Saturday. Lol

We've never actually rode in Marienville, but we have gone to Timberline which is really close. We also ride at Rocky Gap.

2005-2008 I had rode with my brother out there. Timberline trail from what I remember runs into the trails from Marienville. Such a nice peaceful ride out there in the Allegheny Forest. I'm originally from Upstate NY between Buffalo and Rochester. Just thought to comment on your posts as the photos looked familiar places.

Nice. It is a really nice place to ride. Its probably my favorite vacation... close... inexpensive... and some of the cleanest air you'll ever breath. I've been going up there since I got my quad in 2011. Wouldn't trade the quad or the trips for anything
