Thats like my dad with his 09 ram. It takes about 5 qts and there was 1/2 a qt in it! He got it done at the place where we usually go to get our cars worked on and if you have seen my steering issue thread you can tell I'm not thrilled anymore lol. He told me he got his oil changed 6 weeks ago and since then every morning he would hear slight ticking when the engine was cold and he would get some blue smoke. That initially lead me to believe it was an internal engine issue but after putting 4 3/4 qts in it to get it back tot he safe zone I don't think it would eat that much oil that quick if it only puffs out blue smoke right at start up. I told him if it gets low on oil again it's time to trade it in lol.

Thanks. I hope it will. It makes me laugh that you posted that because a few weeks ago we were talking about King Ranch's and having "luxury trucks"... now I have a Lariat...

My family has never owned a Dodge, but they have had Chevy's. Nothing but problems... my parents actually just traded in their Equinox for a new Escape because the Equinox had strange electrical problems. Onstar was messed up, lights would turn on and off by themselves, doors would lock and unlock by themselves, and the radio would kill the car battery because it would never turn off. One month in a GM garage and they still couldn't figure out the problem.

Well I am a chevy truck guy mostly the older ones like 70s up to 90s. But anyday I prefer my old ford. We have had our 85 Chevy G20 van for 12 years no problems other then the carb going which I figured it would. Actually the van had been sitting for 2 years about went out and tried starting it and fired right up no jumping the battery or anything after a few seconds it ran like a top again.

That's ridiculous... what is wrong with the country we live in???
I never have had horrible luck with all mechanics and garages except for 2. I hate letting other people touch my stuff.... and I really hate paying them for it....
Can you post a link to your steering issue thread?

Lol i always give him crap and he wishes he still had my truck but to be honest it is a great truck I am a ford guy but i try not to be biased about stuff. Like when i see a riced out car I respect that person for at least customizing their car to their liking. It may not be my personal taste but yet they do it the way they wanna do it. Likewise they may not like my truck because they like imports but i would hope they would respect the fact that I built it to my liking. Although i do hate it when the kids angle their tires at like a 45* angle to drop their cars, i have a picture i should put on the ultimate picture thread lol.

My previous life I had a lifted 99 TJ Sport. I belong on several Jeep Bulletin Boards and was always telling the narrow minded jeepers that their jeeps weren't the best thing on or off road. They constantly HATED other people and their rides because they weren't in a "jeep".
I hate people like that...

I have to say though, some of it drives me nuts. Like putting 26's on a 4x4 truck... I will never understand the point... It makes me think of the end of the movie Cars. The Jeep (Sarge) is having 4 wheeling camp with some H2s on dubs and the one hummer says "Man! I got dirt in my rims!"
Another one is the LUND 3M hood scoops. IMO, make it functional or leave it off
