front axle

I am going to be ordering a dropped front axle for my 55 soon... My question is which is the better way to go Nostalgia Sids, or Mid fifty.... I have read that some of the dropped axles on the market are hard to get in alignment....any insight will be appreciated ...

I got mine from Sid's... I had heard the same things about the aftermarket axles, along with poor weld quality and fitment issues. The turnaround time was a little long, about 6 weeks, but if you will give him a call he'll tell you when he will be doing axles like yours, and let you know how long it will take. I also had him install new kingpins while he had it, cost an extra $100, but was well worth it! Total cost with shipping was just a little under $500.
