Thumbs up FX2: 275/70/18 or 275/65/18 Michelin LTX M/S2's?

Looking at new tires for my '12 F150 FX2 screw. (ecoboost/3.73's) I already have an autospring 2" front level kit on the truck. I've settled on LT rated Micelin LTX m/s2's since I do mostly highway and tow. Now for the size, I want to fill-up the wheel wells more than the current tires.

Tire shop had 275/65r18's listed as biggest that would fit but I think given the level kit already the 275/70/18's would fit?

I can't say for sure but I think the 275/70'2 would fit. A friend of mine has a leveling kit on an FX4 and she put on 33x12.5's. So your two wheel drive would just be sitting a tiny bit lower than a 4X4.

Can't you look up the leveling kit and see what tire sizes it says will fit?

Thanks for the tip. I checked the lift kit page and it says 33's. The 275/65's are 32.1" and the 275/70's are 33.2"

2009-2014 FORD F-150 2 Front Leveling Kit *POWDER-COAT [AS2001PC] - $82.95 : Auto Spring Corporation, Idaho's Largest Inventory of Auto and Truck Springs.

Not entirely clear if the autospring info is really for the front-only or full kit when it says it'll clear 33's.

Either way, perhaps maybe the 275/65's will be easier on my mpg.

You should clear the 275/70s without a problem. You're basically bringing your front end up to a 4wd stance, and the 4wd can fit that size easily.

I would have to agree. I would think your 2" leveling kit would bring it a tad bit higher than a 4x4. mine is a 4x4 and my 275/70R18 BFG AT's fit just fine.

Thanks. Got 275/70 r18s LTX ms2 tires mounted up tonight. No clearance issues at all even at full turn/lock.
