Working the ole F-150

It's not often I have a chance to post my truck with a load on it, and it's certainly not as loaded as some of you guys but I felt like sharing anyway.

Now I pull these compressors around at work all the time, they aren't real heavy but I only pull them within a 5 mile radius, mostly just to move them less then a mile.

Yesterday we moved my mom closer to us (step dad died on my birthday a couple months ago. She wanted to move closer to my brother and I), about a 45 mile trip with 7 miles being interstate.

I have no idea on total weight, but the bed of the truck was loaded and 3 adults and my 7 year old daughter in the cab. 2 trips loaded like this. My first "real" tow with the truck and I have to say I'm impressed. I was a bit concerned with the 3.31 gears but it handled it with ease. No problems at all getting up to speed on the interstate, no problems holding speed and handles the load well. 5.0 engine btw.

And of course no successful move is complete without a rainstorm right in the middle lol.

The 5.0 can handle a load really well. Trailer looks a little nose heavy but not to bad.

The truck was loaded first and was squatting before the trailer was loaded. There are some heavy tables and a dresser behind the washer, dryer, and freezer. It was a bit tongue heavy but handled great. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.........some other day if it's a move where I have to load and off load all that stuff.
