One more step..had a nice couple of days at memorial day parties, in between finished prepping the frame for paint and finally got it in primer today.

back at it today, frame painted satin black

Also cut the front jag springs 1 coil before getting ready for paint. With the engine in the chassis the suspension was barely off the bump stops and I needed another 2" in drop to get the suspension where it should be. There was 1/4" in plastic spring spacers that were removed and with this one coil removed it should do the trick. Actual thickness of the 1 coil is 1" since most of it was flat.

More painting and then chassis assembly on the way!

Hey Dave,
Your chassis looks great! My shins are sore just seeing all those running brackets poking out there! Nice to see you finally have good weather there.

Thanks, things should move along chassis wise pretty quick since most of the fabrication work was already done. Still a few unknowns to deal with but nothing major.

Thanks Ben, weather has been cooperating on my days off so far. Did you ever get your truck on a rack to see what the front end noise was?

Thanks Roy!
Yes the jag front hubs and the camaro rear have the same GM bolt pattern, 5 lug 4 3/4" bolt circle.
Kind of a pain because I bought 2011 mustang wheels and I will need to use adapters, I am still leery on using them just because I never have before.

Just don't skimp, buy good ones and they will be fine. Remember they will add tread width tho.
Watch on the Jag, IIRC they use GM pattern but the stud diameter and center hole is different, make sure the adapters accommodate, or you may need to get the centerholes machined on one of the pairs. Nice to only have to carry one spare, you could even use a GM space saver spare.

Just FYI the Jag wheels from 95 -04 are 5 on 4 3/4 and came in 16 & 17 in I am running front and rear suspension with 16 in wheels off of a 95 XJS on my 60 F-100 direct bolt up no need for adapters.

.
Good info Slick. Can we see a picture? For potential future builders considering a Jag IFS, the XJS ran the same basic suspension later (thru 1996) than the XJ6 and XJ12 where 1987 was the last year. IIRC being that the XJS was a V12 (heavier engine), it has stiffer front springs and a larger diameter and therefore stiffer stabilizer.
Are you good with the stiffer springs?

Correct, Jag uses 1/2" studs as opposed to the normal older GM passenger car 7/16". Center hub is also slightly larger from what I remember. So far all of the spacers I have seen that are non hub centric have a big enough hole to clear just about anything hub size so no problem there. I am going to try and grab a Ford space saver, taking an adapter off on the side of the road might not be fun to do.
It would be nice to have hub centric adapters but I am sure they would be a custom build. For that money I could just get the front hubs redrilled and swap to the 8.8 rear.

I like these adapters:
They are all made to order, so I don't expect it would be extra to make them to what you need. Not all earlier hubs were machined to be hubcentric.
