I just replaced the HPOP on my 03 F250 and was wondering if there were any rebuild kits for my old HPOP? There is a $150 core charge that I will gladly eat if I can rebuild my old one and sell it to someone for $300 or $400 and get their old one to rebuild and do again. Seems like all the ones on the market that are OEM are re-manufactured anyways. Thoughts?

 

I've never seen one. It's not an easy process and Ford seems to have a hard time getting good reman'd ones to sell. Their failure rate seems to be pretty high.

 

I really thought that someone would have tried this considering how much they cost. Guess I will keep searching.
