O2 sensor location

Can someone help me with this? The instructions recommend 10 or 2 oclock in the exhaust pipe. The best I can do is 3 or 9 o'clock, or use a 45* bung.

Any ideas. Thanks. kevin

No real experience with that yet, but I've been doing a lot of reading getting ready for my turbo 300 project...the reason they recommend ten to two o'clock is to keep moisture from pooling in the sensor and causing trouble. From what I've read you should be fine. I've also read that if this is going to be a daily driver and not doing a lot of short trips then the moisture would 'cook' out of the exhaust and not be a problem regardless of the orientation of the bung.

Whose instructions? How far downstream from the head are ya putting it? And what is preventing the proper installation?

Never mind... just read your thread. If you're just gonna use it for tuning then 9 or 3 is OK. I'd put it just before the collector flange.
