Exclamation Anyone heard from Boss9F100 AKA TimewarpF100 AKA Randy?

Has anyone had any contact with Randy? I was wondering how he is doing and have not seen him post on any forums for a bit now.

Randy, If you see this could you chime in and give all of us an update on how you are doing?

5/20/2013: Last time Boss9F100 posted on FTE. A member (don't recall who) of FTE's AZ chapter said he was ill.

Yes, I was having some enjoyable e-mails with him about side-oilers and such and didn't even know he had an F250 Ranger. Valley Fever was the illness he'd picked up. It's a bad one. He should have stayed in Spokane.

Someone contacted me and pointed me to this post.

A year and a half ago Got Valley Fever which quickly turned into pneumonia.
Difficult strain to treat it got into my lower legs. Antibiotics totally screwed up my entire immune system. I can no longer take meds of any kind.

Tried about everything I have heard of to see if it would help, time in hospital only made things much worse. Allergic reactions really messed things up, hands and legs still not healed from this past May episode.

Even now I can only be on my feet a few hours a day before the swelling and pain starts.

Those strong antibiotics created total havoc with the immune system.
Had a double ear infection that took 12wks to go away, any meds made things worse.

Other than that I feel fine . . . LOL

Pretty much all my projects have been on total stand still for that period of time. Including the shop project until just this past week when a good friend decided to "help" me out a bit so the existing exposed wood does not get ruined

About driving me nuts to have the Eco and 427 Trucks just sitting here collecting dust.

SOld the nice '65 This past January~February time line just to keep going.
I hate that when its a have to sell thing.

Sorry to those that contacted but I never responded. This has not been fun..

Been a while since I picked up the Ranger. A lot of controversy about it at the time so kept quiet since.

My daughter loves the truck and uses it as her daily driver. Going to college now for Firefighter-Paramedic.

The Ranger is in such nice condition its hard to believe it has stayed so nice.
I bought it years ago and put it in storage then around 3 or so years ago got it up and running so I could make the move without it being dead.

SOme really odd things going on about it and others will argue until they are blue in the face but I know the real deal . . .

Nice to see you have picked up one of these rare trucks!

Hey Randy get well man. Great to hear that your daughter wants to be a firefighter paramedic. Keep in touch and I hope things do get better for you. Miss all your sage knowledge on these sleds.

I really want to move back to Tucson. I had a bad bout of VF last time I was there as well. Something I don't understand is why the Docs there don't zero in on VF in the beginning. I was healthy, 48 years old and in the middle of summer had pneumonia like symptoms. It took them weeks to figure out I had VF, after a week in the hospital, I was on meds for 4 months. VF is some nasty s**t.
