Sweet old Bessie
I finally managed to get all the parts painted on old Bessie and starting to put her back together again. Got the windshield and back window installed yesterday and also hung the doors. All the tips and information I got off the forum sure helped especially with the windows. I at least had an idea of what was needed to do but I still ended up with a mess with window sealant all over everything. With many 4 letter word exclamations and a lot of grunting and puffing we got the windows in and doors hung. Hope to have her on the road before snow falls. I had to change out the generator already as it started squealing like mad yesterday . I just put in an alternator and the switch went fairly well ( amazingly so ). Glad the generator went now instead of later and me end up stranded someplace. At least the old girl is starting to look like a truck again.

I have a lot of pics of Bessie posted on the forum here in the old gallery. I am not sure how you could access it, I can when I sign in but don't know how for others. I am not very computer literate. The paint is an acrylic enamel, Shopline JE. The color is cranberry. It was the cheaper kind that I got from my local supplier, I really couldn't justify a high priced high quality paint for the old girl seeings she is just going to be a working truck and not a show truck. Just wanted to get her looking nice and pretty once again in her life time before she gets scratched up, dinged, and dirty again. I will post more pics as she gets finished up.

Finally got Sweet old Bessie almost ready for the road. Just need to mount the mirrors, do some touch up, clean her up good, finish off some incidentals and get the insurance and plates. I am anxious to drive her again after over 20 years. Just spent the last 4 days mounting and adjusting the hood. I got it passable but not perfect. My drivers side fender sheet metal sags and not much I am going to be able to do about it now. She is destined to be a worker and not just a pretty face so I am satisfied with her looks. Thanks to Ax's hood alignment tutorial as it really helped me get the hood passable today. Also thanks to everyone else on the forum who has shared information. It sure helped me along the way.
When she is finished and on the road I will post more pics.

Right now there is only one widowmaker on old Bessie. That is on the passenger side inside dual. The 2 fronts are 22.5" rims with 235/80R22.5 Michelin tires. The other 3 rears are 8.25x20's mounted on split ring rims. I managed to find 1 brand new 22.5 Michelin at a garage sale and picked up 5 more real good used ones at an online auction. Unfortunately all I had were two 22.5" rims ,which went on the front. I am looking for 4 more 22.5 rims with 5 holes so I can have them all around. If anyone has a line on some I would appreciate it. So far no luck finding any locally.
