the 8900 tsx I got came pre-loaded with tunes...so I would think they all do.. it will ask if the dpf is deleted...then the egr...blah blah it walks you through it.. in all honesty.. I went cheap with the sct.. CUSTOMER svc was great.. but my truck never seemed to shift right.. broke down bought a HS mini maxx the BEST THING I EVER DID... I run the 250hp tune... it shifts PERFECTLY... IMHO I would save a little extra go with a hs/Spartan...do it right the 1st time...you won't be disappointed

There are many reputable tuners that have tunes for SCT devices, IDP, Gearhead are a few that I run and they know what they are doing. Each truck acts a little different and sometimes things need to be tweaked, Even with H&S and Spartan…..This is a very hot topic on every forum out there, opinions are like azz holes…everyone has one.

i agree I was just stating my 2cents worth...tried the sct.. it was decent... but right out of the box..straight hp..no custome tunes.. I think hs is the best.. my truck was shifting right in a day in a half.. the sct just never seemed to tune the tranny right... but as you stated we all have *******s and opinions.. try one if you don't like it...look to the next!

It's insanity. It's like the engine has been replaced with a pissed off demonic beast.

Mpg have improved somewhat but I haven't calculated it yet.

The nice feature is no more regens, the engine and transmission seem to be working much better, the shifts are firmed up, it sounds amazing you can hear the turbo more and the growl is nice, no more oil being polluted with diesel, it disables the egr bullcrap and the best part is it haulllls ****ing ***. It's nothing to be cruising at 40km mash the gas and it'l get sideways with no strain at all.
Is this the 3015r from rudys diesel? Are you running it on a 6.4 n what's your city mpg?

Act tuner

I'm thinking of getting the same kit. Did u delete the egr as well or just bypassing it with the tuner?

All I wanted to do was delete the stupid exhaust plug also, so I bought the GearboxZ DPFr 4.0 direct from them for about $400 and got the block off plates for another 20. It was simple to load onto the ECM. The Banks Automind I have works with it. I recently took a 300 mile trip and calculated out 17 mpg. I am plenty pleased so far with it.
Just pluggin my .02.

37x13.50x20 for me... I'm getting 12-13 mpg's in the city... An Intake might net you another 1-2 mpg.. how big/wide are your rims? I always thought that what I was getting was fine for 6' suspension/37's AS I've SAID BEFORE MILEAGE IS A TOUCHY SUBJECT....because you hear a lot of "claims"

Those big tires and 4 WD are killing you guys, I get 16-18 in the city regularly.
Not a claim, it's a fact.

lol....bubba that's not hard 2 believe because of your set-up...it's the guys that have 35's or the same set up as me claiming the same numbers your getting! I still don't get why guys complain about the mileage...it's an 8k truck...for me a little heavier...as long as my truck doesn't let me down...I'll be fine stopping to get diesel every few days

I have to agree, big tire, 8,000Lbs, semi heavy foot, 12 MPG is pretty respectable.
My poor truck is dying to go on a road trip or something, they've had the freeway closed since before spring, been taking the side roads to work, I'm sure she would like to go out and blow out some cob webs.
