Should I Straight Pipe a V10 F-250

The extra 4' of tailpipe can do a lot to improve the sound even with a muffler. Dump in fron of the rear axle with a straight pipe and I don't know many whom would put up with that noise.
You do not want to make your V10 sound all "white trash" like this guy did. I am guessing he is dumping the exhaust out under the cab and if using a muffler, it is a small one.

Nope, but I've heard a few over the years that made me come to that conclusion. In fact your your ice lake video from last winter really solidified my opinion on that. I think it sounds obnoxious at best, but whatever floats your boat.
I'm a bit of a different breed though. I can't stand people who blast their music to get attention, because I don't want to listen to their music any more than they want to listen to mine. I think the same of exhaust systems; not everyone wants to hear my engine! So why would I force everyone to?

and X2 on the music noise levels I like being able to hear

I kept the converters and sensors, I just cut the muffler out and welded pipe in place of it. It's actually not that loud when you keep the converters! By the way, nobody minds loud exhausts where I'm from and I also live out in the country so this is probably not the best option for city driving... I'll try to post a video soon! I have to agree though, the guy's truck in the above video pulling out the 7.3 sounds horrible!!

excuse me Tom, but have you driven or ridden in a V10 without a muffler?
i've been running mine with no muffler for 3 years and find it neither obnoxious or awful sounding. I actually get compliments weekly on the sound and growl of it. it does not sound like a V8 but thats what i like about it....think lambo

It's your truck, though. If you like the way it sounds don't let anyone tell you different.

See what you think of the video i posted last night, since that original post i have installed a glass pack and it cut down on most if not all of the raspy sound it had before.

3+ years actually, I absolutely Loved it but I must be getting old or something . With more towing i knew i'd be doing and after some trips this winter i decided it needed to come down a notch. The Glass Pack smoothed it out and mellowed it a tad, still sounds good and gets compliments but does not have the raspy sound it had before.
