Blitz Black FlareSide
My son and I finally got the truck repairs done and got the beast painted. I purchased this 81 F100 for him last fall as his first vehicle.
The deal included that he pay for all of the gas but $20 a week and help with all of the repairs. So far that has included a new gas tank, a new carb, R&R an SROD transmission, a new clutch, gauges, and brakes. His girlfriend's dad owns a very reputable repair shop and he installed new radius arm bushings and a driver side radius arm for us.
With all of that out of the way, we went to our John Deere dealer and got a gallon of Blitz Black and 2 rattle cans along with the reducer and hardener. We were able to rattle the grill and the surrounding bits and put two coats on the entire truck with the one gallon of paint. We think it looks pretty good, but we still have some pinstripe decals to put on it as well as our customized F100 emblems.
This is what we have today.
Thanks to F100Trucker for the decals!
This is what we bought
Not sure why they are sideways...
