Throttle bucking

Just bought a 04 f150 5.4. When accelerating to go up a hill the truck will buck or shudder till you throttle through it. Any ideas?

No engine light but that doesn't mean the previous owner didn't turn off the engine light. Will go see if there's any stored codes tomorrow

sounds like a miss fire to me . Ck for codes , pending codes , and mode 6 . Cyl cont. test would be helpful if you can . Look at fuel trims , long and short, if nothing else . That can lead you to the offending bank . Just a thought !

We'll after doing some researching the ticking I'm getting after engine warms up could be cam phasers. What and where are the cam phasers lol?

Sounds like a misfire. It's probably time to replace the sparkplugs.

Went and had codes read and came up with a 2&3 misfire but was told it needed a valve job. Taking it in to have valves done then gonna get plug and coil pack tuneup

If none of the above posted solves it, it might also be a bad TPS throttle position sensor.
