Turbo Fart

Hi gang, I thought I would finally ask the question
. I have a 2005 6.0, and I am getting what is described as a Turbo Fart, when I take my foot off the pedal quickly. I have heard this is normal. but I am using my truck more and I am wondering is this going to hurt anything or a sign iam looking at Turbo in my future. Thanks for any advise Jim

If it flutters when you suddenly let off the accelerator, that is normal.
I see it's your first post. Welcome to FTE

It is normal on our trucks, because our stock turbos don't have a waste gate. After market cold air intakes, such as k&n can cause it to happen more often. And so can sticking vgt veins, if its not fluttering when you let off the throttle gently, I wouldn't sweat it. If you are supper worried about the veins possibly sticking, you can always remove the turbo and clean it, there is a good article in the tech folder. Welcome to fte.

it doesnt hurt anything, it just has to push air back through the intake since it cant get rid of full boost fast enough.
