Rear Wheel Hop - Tranny Shudder
2012 F250 Lairat FX4 purchased 1 year ago. Have 30,000 on stock truck with factory Michelins that still have decent tread (lot of highway miles no trailering). Over the past 3-4 months at 65-70 +/- mph on completely random surfaces (asphalt and concrete) I get a "shudder" from the back end that starts slow and seems to speed up in its oscillation. It can get pretty significant. Always while cruise control is on (I use it extensively). if you slow down it stops immediately. Most times it cycles and quits after a few seconds but usually comes back.
This weekend while pulling a 6x12 utility trailer with my Polaris Ranger on it, you could feel the truck start that feeling again but almost as if the tranny was trying to lock up the torque converter.
I've searched on wheel hop and that's at 45. I never experience this at 45 mph. I swear I read about a TSB on a senor in the tranny causing a shudder but can't find it.
Anybody out there with some thoughts on how to fix this? Truck is absolutely WONDERFUL
Thanks

As senix suggested, having a tech ride along with you for a test drive might be a good option. Additionally, I'd like to get this in front of your regional customer service manager so they can help. Send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, current mileage, and preferred servicing dealership; I'll get this moved up the line.
