Bed Replacement

Has anyone replaced a 1999-2010 truck bed with a 2011-2013. If so how did you compensate for the fuel filler neck placement?

I asked the same question a couple of days ago, like you have not gotten any replies. So I went to the dealer, a 2013 filler neck runs about $200 but it looks like it would fit. In the meantime I am going to cut the neck on my old filler to raise the level up and just put a longer piece of hose on it. Mine is a 2000 PSD.

If you figured anything out I'd like to hear what you did.

the bed fits like the original but the new style fenders in my opinion look HORRIBLE compared to the stock fronts on our year trucks....

agree, seems like the metal is thinner too. Got the filler neck cut and seems to work fine so finally back on the road.

new look old truck

Went with a 2012 bed on my 2002 sd 7.3 this last spring and yes to adding a piece of hose. Pretty much fab and go. I couldn't find one that would work and the price made my choice. Works like it should and you don't see it any way. Just my two cents!

New bed

Thanks Wings, think we all get pushed to do the most economical thing, I got my filler hose to work also and it seems to be fine with the old neck. Only have one tank on it so far but second will go in today. Appreciate the feedback.
