Another new guy from AZ

Hey everyone. My name is Jeff and just today (about an hour ago) I bought a 75 F100 Ranger. This is my second venture into pushrod/carbed anything so I'm hoping to learn a lot from here. My previous vehicle list is kinda long.

2012 Ford Mustang GT (sold)
2010 Dodge Challenger R/T (traded)
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra (traded)
2001 Ford Lightning (sold, missed dearly)
2000 Mustang GT. Blown then blown up (traded)
1994 Ford Thunderbird 4.6 V8
1993 Ford F250 ex-cab, long bed, 7.3 diesel.

As for the truck I just bought:
It is a mostly rust free 75 that was used as a snow plow up in Williams, AZ and has a ton of miles on it. The guy I bought it from said its fouling plugs up and the battery is dead. I will be picking it up tomorrow as soon as I get a trailer. Not bad for $500.

Welcome aboard Jeff. I have to agree with IB Tim for 500 that's deadly.

The old trucks like that were damn solid, you could bump someone at 20 miles per hour and not put a dent em, you sure can't do that nowadays ( not that I recommend you try out my theory...lol )

There is a lot of good things here at FTE and a lot of knowledgeable folks that would be more than happy I am sure to answer some questions you may have. Have fun with your truck and while your here at FTE.

Well she cranks but doesn't run. There are some other pretty big issues. The steering has a little over 180 degrees of play. It's leaking fuel and it doesn't sound healthy. I need to yank the plugs when I get a chance to check and see what is fouling them up

Welcome!

I'm kinda newish too, had an F250 awhile ago and just recently purchased an F150, but have been away from the forum for awhile.

Where abouts in AZ are you located? I'm over in Mesa. Heading out to Williams this weekend for the Datsun car show, looks to be good country up there!

I live in El Mirage. Consequently I'll be up in Williams tonight and a few miles south of it after that until Monday. Turkey hunt in area 8 so unfortunately I won't get a chance to dig into the truck at all until next Wednesday.
