So on my front drive line and I see a lot of play at the transfer case side in the slip yoke. Which piece needs replace the driveshaft or slip yoke that houses the u-joint? Do they both go bad and I need to replace it all.

 

Depends where the wear is...

If the splines are worn on both the shaft and slip yoke both will need replaced.
