Should My Stock 2011 F-250 Sit level?

I just picked up a 2011 F-250 4x4 crew cab short bed with a 6.2 gas engine and I was looking to put a leveling kit on it, but the truck fits perfectly level already. Is that normal? It came from the factory with the camper package and the snow plow package, so do either of those packages include taller springs in the front? My old 2001 F-350 was at least 3.5" taller in the rear compared to the front, so I'm kinda surprised there isn't any rake from from front to back. Any thoughts?

Ford leveled the F250 since that is what they felt customers wanted. The downside is that when you load the bed, it will sit low in the rear.

Well from what I read the snowplow package uses stiffer springs, so would that affect the height at all? It certainly explains the fairly rough ride.

The height isn't different, only the spring rate (i.e. stiffer, takes more weight to bring them down).

Ok thanks for the info. As for the blocks in the rear, is it the same as previous years were the F-350 blocks are taller than the F-250 ones?

Yes, the f350 blocks are taller. Most guys with a f250 do a levelling kit up front and install f350 blocks in the rear.

My F250 is plenty tall from the factory. No need to go lifting it

Not sure of the newer stuff, but I thought the F250's with the snow plow option is what gave the truck a level appearance? I have an '03 that I ordered new and was told to get the snow plow package and it would sit level. I did and love the trucks stance.

Going back over the years, I'm sure some things changed here and there. The OP's truck is a 2011 F250 mostly like mine. It doesn't need snow plow springs to sit level.

Yes they are. My MDX has the step bar but I never use it. I definitely use the one on the F250. Still if I did not need to keep it "low" for a 5th wheel I would consider lifting it because I like the way it looks higher up with bigger tires.

Why would you want a superduty truck to sit level. soon as you put some weight in to it it look like one of those overloaded little trucks you see going down the HWY's.
It should only be level when to truck is load to capacity. If you want a level vehicle buy a car.

So no stock f250 blocks are 2" high flat, how high are the f350 blocks? and are they tapered?
