ring and pinion changes questions

Looking at doing a ring and pinion change, have noticed several comments about reverse cut gears in regards to the 8.8 front diff.

Summit offers a ring and pinion clutch type LSD combo pack that they claim fits the front axel but it says standard cut. any ideas?

This probably isn't going to help any, but all reverse cut gears I have ever seen have been for the front axle. Like dana 44 was used both as a rear AND front diff. The rear diff would have standard/regular cut gears while the front diff would use reverse cut gears.
I would just give them a call and verify that the gears you are looking at are indeed intended for a front diff

wminmi,

You pretty much summed up what I found out from searching a bit. always nice to hear from multiple sources.
