Electric over Hydraulic Trailer Towing

I tow a boat that has a Carlisle electric over hydraulic system. My 2012 F350 in the EOH mode is causing a very slow response to the trailer braking. It was working fine with my old Ford and a trailer brake control unit. Don't tell me I have to add a trailer brake control to this truck that is supposed to handle EOH.
What are you folks doing. Thanks.

The factory TBC is not designed to work with EOH trailer brakes.

OK, we won't tell you that you need a new brake controller........

I just spoke with a person from E-Trailer and was told that the EOH position on my truck should work with the EOH actuator on my boat trailer. I have a call into Carlisle, but have not heard from them yet.

I have an option on my '11 F-450 for electric brakes or electric hydraulic brakes. I have never used because I don't tow anything with electric /hydraulic brakes. Is this option only on the 450's?

Just spoke with Carlisle. The unit I have is too old to work with my 2012 F350. I could either go with an add on brake controller or get the new unit which is supposed to work with my 2012. I don't want to add a brake controller to the truck and mine is about 12 years old so I am going to get the new unit. I will let you know how it works when I get it installed.
