www.southernrods.com... Steering Columns
I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with the steering columns from this company.
Their prices seem low compared to ididit and other brands and I was wondering about quality..Are they a cheap Made in China knock off with junk parts or are the actually a decent product worth looking at?
There seems to be a large price variance...
So if you have any experience or input please advise as I still have to get a column for my truck.
Thanks in advance for your time to reply.

I replaced my column last winter and posted a thread asking the same. One FTE member said the quality was poor and he decided to return it and get an ididit column. I went with Flaming river. Steering is not something to get cheap about. I'm very happy with this column, in the long run a few extra bucks buys peace of mind. I got the stainless, not polished, one which is not the much more money from Summit Racing. Just my 2cts

It looks like the same column that Mid-Fifty is selling for slightly more money. I asked one of the girls at Mid-Fifty about them and she said they were "OK, but the Ididit or Flaming River were well worth the extra money".
For once, I lucked out and found a used Ididit polished aluminum with shift on ebay for $300. SCORE! The guy selling it was switching from auto to 5 speed. Looked like new and came with steering wheel adaptor.
