1949 Brake Drum Removal

1949 Brake Drum Removal
The shop manual suggests these are demountable. Visual inspection suggests otherwise. It looks like the only way to do it is to remove the wheel bearings. Am I missing something? By the way I do not see any slotted screws per the manual. This is an F5
