What's up everybody. I'm ending my first tour in Afghanistan right now and I just purchased my first truck. Got myself a badass f150 xlt supercrew 2wd 5.0L in metallic black. I'd love to post some pics however it seems I don't have that capability yet. I imagine I'll be able to do that after a few posts? Any input on that?
Anyways.. I figured I'd get into this forum to live vicariously through you fellas since I wont see my truck for another month. Rock on.

Hey Gray, welcome to FTE my friend!, and it's a real nice truck you got there (wanna trade my 5.0 for my 5.0? ). I personally use Imageshack to host my pictures then post the forum links if I want to share pictures in here, you could try that.

Welcome aboard, and glad to see you are home safe from Afghanistan.

Love the F150's and it sounds by your enthusiasm you got your self a nice one. I like the look of the change of the F150's in the 09 and up models, there was quite a differance appearance wise from the 04 to 08 models.

If you have the good luck I have had with my F150, then you will really love your F150! You will find a lot of knowledgeable folks here at FTE on the F series trucks, so have a nose around the site and enjoy!

Pocketlint, Appreciate the kind words. Still got about 20 days to go before I get out of here and get to drive this new beauty. I agree I like the newer models. Specifically I like the newer headlight designs that's what did it for me.

 

Hi Gray. Well that's my bad, let's look to getting you home safe and sound then. The new F150's are nice trucks. Lot's of em rolling around and they have a different styling on the front end then the 04 to 08's seem to have.

I like them, I can see why you must be excited to get into the drivers seat. I know in my current F150 it has to be one of the best trucks I have owned and is awesome on gas, so hopefully you will see that as well.

I am sure your going to like it, you will have to update us onthe ride after you get to take it for a spin when you get back .
