Monte, I have gone through all 48 pages over time but I forget: did you rewire your cluster so you have the new one in place or are you using your old cluster still?

Almost got my dash done. Working on the AC ducts tomorrow. Moved the fuse box to under the Hood. Extended all the wires for that yesterday. Cut strip solder heat shrink repeat. Got my headlight and dimmer switch finished today!

2005 Gas Burner. Need to either paint over the marking or make them darker. Kinda faded. But now I have the new look with the old electronics so no complaints yet.

Got pics of the fuse panel under the hood? Also did you color match each wire? i am looking up where to buy all the wire colors i would need lol but i am thinking generic colors and leaving some longer pigtails so its easier to trace if i need to.

i will try to get some pictures this afternoon. Right now my fuse box is just a small toolbox I bought lol. But its waterproof has a lid and fit so it works.

I used all 16 gauge paired red and black wires. Just left enough room on both ends to solder to and see the colors. Beware the biggest plug on the harness going into the fusebox on my dash had 2 wires that were same color code. Took a good 10 minutes to figure out which was which because didn't notice when I cut the plug

While waiting for shop to begin the wiring, I went ahead and installed new headlights, taillights, brake light, and new bumper. Need to go find myself a winch and fog lights for the bumper now. I'm hoping they start this wiring soon. Here's some eye candy for now

i got my cluster working, 08-02. I took both clusters apart. stripped the 08 board completely. put it back in the front case thatnit clips into and flipped it over, drilled a hole for every idiot light and backlight. Mounted odometer, mine was digital, amd inhad to extend the wires. I used all my 02 stepper motors and glued them in place on the 08 board, then soldered extension wires from where they were originally pinned. i bought leds and resistors from superbright leds. and glued them in place. and soldered them to the 02 backlight connector socket so i can change polarity. same with idiot lights. then glued everything in place. installed in the truck tomset the needles. then put the faceplate on.

i should have used longer wires, i could have made it look more neat. Oh well. i have maybe 20$ in leds and resistors.
it fits ok, i had to cut the duct out behind the cluster. about 1/3 of the circumference in the front. then i just taped it to make it work. also cut out some of the plastic cross brace of the dash. then rocked it in. fits ok. i can take pics in a few hours. looks awesome finished.

i also got my 08 COLUMN in and working.
had to use 10 relays but it works great
