So good news guys, had my wedding this past week and I am leaving for my honeymoon today. I didn't get to work on the truck because we are finally closing on our house so my wife and I have just been packing the past few days. I should be moving in next weekend once I get back and all my truck related activities will finally resume since I will have garage space again.

Did you use the airbag from the F150?

My concern is that the airbag is not designed for our truck. It may not behave safely.

Send me your pics, Ill upload them if you want.

This is my first post here on the FTE been reading a lot on all the forums and have done some extensive conversions to my truck. Bought it as a work truck. Added all power windows, locks, 08 power fold/power extend mirrors, cab lights, 12 tailgate, 05 bumper and grille conversion, 06 Lariat seats, and now getting ready to tackle the 08 dash swap.
I'm still wondering how Zack got his cluster to work. I was just doing a little bit of bench testing on my cluster and there is a few things I have found that are controlled my a negative power. 4x4 high, guage lights, air filter detect. Just to name a few. I only had a little bit of time before my son woke up from his nap. I still have more testing to do.
I was also thinking that if you get a brain for the cluster if you could hook up the stuff that goes through the message board on that if that would actually work as well to keep everything together. But then again you wouldn't be able to use the odometer though. Unless there is a way to get that to work through the brain for the cluster. There are idiot lights that don't have a wire either, so hooking everything up thats on the board, can be done but with soldering the wire directly to it. Was just doing some brain storming. Still more to come. Hopefully Zack releases his secret. Thanks you Monte for doing this awesome write up on this! Definitely will come in handy when I do my swap in a few weeks.
