Smile 1997 E 150 alignment specs?

where can I find alignment specs for my 97 E150. I have looked online for the info but couldn't seem to find any. Seems to be "top secret" stuff. Didn't really see any alignment specs for anything. Maybe I just don't where to look.
Thanks for any help on this.

Smile I would like to have

something to compare with the printout after alignment was done at a local shop. My steering seems to be different, worse, than when I went in. I got new tires and alignment. Now steering wheel is off center, about 1 o'clock position, and it also act strange when lane changing. By that I mean it seems to dart? react quickly?. I went back and asked at the shop. They said all was good and I just needed to get used to the new settings. I guess I can adjust to it. Wouldn't think I should have to. When I asked what specs should be, they didn't want to say. All they would say is that it was within limits. I am not trying to be a perfectionist. This is a 97 E150. I just replaced tie rod ends and drag links before taking to shop. Just thought it would be nice to drive. Not scary when lane changing. I have owned this van for many years so I knew how it was before. Guess I will live with it.
I asked the question on the specs because after searching online I was surprised I could not find the info. After a searching you can usually find answers to almost anything online. I was not able to locate the info.
Thanks for the info. I will compare with printout.

Is your local shop knowledgeable in alignment or just a franchised outfit? That alone can make a huge difference in your results.

I just replaced my steering box with OEM reman'd and it too acted differently those first few miles. At 173K miles it was tighter and definitely responded more quickly to input. It seemed to be hunting for a straight path until it occurred to me it no longer needed small but almost constant steering correction maintaining my lane.

If any part of your front suspension is worn close enough to warrant replacement that too can account for your experience. While some of the quick buck shops claim its aligned to spec that typically means "minimally acceptable", anything to get it off the rack, out the door and collect your money.

Not sounding too cynical or suspicious but a print out is only as good as whose printing it and whether its your actual vehicle.

The steering wheel issue is common and would need to be adjusted further by that shop or another. Ford steering wheels have a splined mounting hub so it all has to be done at the drag link or tie rod adjusters.

Please let us know what the end result is!

Smile local Firestone

I had it done at the local Firestone store. I don't know anything about the people that work there. You made an interesting point on the printout sheet. I only drive the van once maybe twice a week. About 200 miles round trip each time. Maybe I am over sensitive about the steering feel. Really just judging by the way it was before. Only made one trip so far. Ill give it a chance.
I could post a copy of alignment print out but I don't know how. I can scan it no problem. Then what?

Convert the scanned image into the .jpg format, post it to a hosting site like Photobucket or in your profile image gallery then use the links in the tool bar above your reply window. It should then appear in your thread reply.
