Please help! 04 f250 diesel multiple codes
Hi Everyone, I am looking for a little direction. I have an 04 f250 with a 6.0l. Its symptoms are rough running and heavy fuel smoke upon start ups (worse when cold) along with low power, misfiring, rough idle, until it warms up then its like somene threw a switch and it straightens righ out. Fuel mileage has been bad. It will start right up so no hard start condition. I used a scan tool to retrieve the following codes: PO263,266,269,272,275,278,281,284 cylinder balance codes and po300,303,306,307,and 336.
I did the FICM resolder a few months back and was amazed but the improvement but maybe I did not do a good enough job because 2 weeks later it started acting up again. Please note that this truck when warm has no lack of power or smoke so I am not convinced that it is a mechanical issue. Also on highway trips - mileage is not bad and runs smooth again after it is warmed up. Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

With having the crank shaft position sensor code I have to wonder if that isn't causing the cylinder balance codes, its strange to have all 8 cylinders with contribution codes, in fact I cant imagine it would even run if all 8 codes are real. You would be amazed at how bad it will run with just one bad injector, when I had the number 2 fail it would barely idle and couldn't get out of its own way. The FICM can also be bad even though it is showing good main voltage. Since you had the FICM out did you recheck the FICM connectors to be sure they are all properly seated?

So I had the truck to the local Ford Dealership and basic result of his diagnostics was that it needs all 8 injectors. He mentioned that they are all reading so irratic that he can not test them. He also did the latest flash and it seemed to help quite a bit but the truck stil smokes very heavy upon start up and runs rough until warm but not as rough as before. My question at this point is has anyone had sucess with sending the injectors out to be cleaned or are they failing as part of the electronics in them?
Seeing as they sell for $300 each here (Ontario Canada) I am looking to save a bit if possible.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the delay but was out of town for a few days. I am in Niagara, They did not quote me labor costs as I just inquired about the diagnostic check. He did mention the fuel pressure reg as well because he said that pressure was down a bit. I am not sure if this would give my issues or not and again since the recent flash - it seems quite a bit better - still smokes and runs rough upon start up but no lack of power after warm. Still stinks a bith though.
