I have been wondering that too, but my needs are very different. Mine has a Whipple Supercharger, with Whipple's "tuner" integrated in with all the support stuff. But Whipple no longer makes it, so if it dies, I need to find someone who can make me a replacement... I have not talked to 5 Star about that, but I have talked to them about a tuner for my 5.4 in my F-350, and it is not a problem. Lots of people have them, but I think I would do Banks headers and exhaust before doing the tuner. Just my .02 cents.

Well idk about the OP, but mine has headers and a CAI. Thought about a supercharger. But hard to find and none show for a 03.

I have the Bank headers and a stock intake and exhaust. I got the 5 Star tuner with the 87 octane Econo, Tow and Perf and 89 Tow and Perf. So far I have only used the 87 octane tunes, I'll be trying the 89 octane ones on our next long towing trip. I really like the Econo setting, I normally drive with a pretty light foot and this tune rolls through the gears real quick and has you in OD and locked up by 35MPH, I think it has helped my MPG a little, I didn't have a whole lot of daily driving miles to compare it to before and a V-10 with 4.88 gears is only going to be so good on gas! I tried the tow tune and didn't really like it for my style of driving. I pull a 9.5k lb ToyHauler and the tune seems to be setup for you to drop the hammer off the line and hold it till you get up to speed. At least thats what it seemed like to me, and it did well when I tried it like that, but it just didn't match my driving style while towing. The Perf tune does a good job of waking this big heavy beast up when running solo! Makes it feel like a real hot rod heavy weight. I found that the Perf tune works well with my style of driving while towing, good power across the RPM range, quick firm shifts and it will hold onto OD pretty good when slowly dropping speed while pulling longer grades.

Which one of us are you asking? I think most of us are running the Modified F350 rear springs and blocks and F350 front springs and leveling kits. Net lift varies between 3.7 and 5 inches depending how each guy did it. It's also the least expensive way to lift an EX.
Garry

PS Mine is approximately 4.75" lift running 35x12.50x16.5 tires.

Mines about 4 inches of lift.

Repacked rear springs, 2 inch lift shackle in the front with a add-a-leaf.

Yep, us EX guys can't leave things alone. Mine is at 4" front and about 4.5" rear. Using a combination of F-250 snow plow prep springs and some extra leaves and other tid-bits from the stock springs. Will be mounting up 35"s when these 32"s wear out some more.

You will have to let me know how knoticable the change is. I'm planning the same size tire after my 285s are gone. Along with some different wheels
