53/56 Ford F-100/250 Front fenders.

I know this has been discussed before on this forum. If I remember correctly, 53-56 ford F-100 thru F-250 front fenders, inner fenders, grills and hoods are interchangeable. The F-350 had the bigger front fenders found on the larger trucks all the way up to the F-700, but the inner fenders, grill, and hood were all thee same as the smaller trucks. Does anyone know for sure if this is correct? Was the purpose of the larger fenders on the F-350 and up for tire clearance?

The bigger fenders were also found on some F250's. I believe it depended on what size the stock tires were on the trucks.

Yes the larger wheel well openings were for tire clearance.

Yes the rest of the front clip parts were the same or interchangeable.

C = F100 / D = F250 / Y = F350 / T = F500 / TH = F600.

Will be installing front wheels soon...I can test fit the front duals for clearance then.

look at this truck, its a f350 but has a small opening on one side and a large on the other. Either way they look good. Owner probably never even noticed

The fender opening I have measured up here are 31" I think it would be too close for 17.5" rims

The larger opening fenders are not being reproduced, but I know a great guy who has a pair of NOS large opening fenders
