Mobile Applications

It might also cost money to use tapatalk for a website. I'm not sure. I wondered why as well but never tried to find out. I would also possibly be up for buying a stable app, as well as helping test it. As a supporter, I no longer have ads, if you still do you may need to ask about that.

This issue looks to be resolved. Edit, and reply functions appear to be working properly. I did a test post with all new functions, and no problems.

Thank you to the IB team for the quick action to get it straightened out. The new features are very convenient for us that use the Mobile One theme.
I apologize. I know this thread is for the IB mobile app. This, and the following two posts are regarding the mobile web platform(Mobile One style).
I see avatars can be viewed on the mobile platform, and clicking the thread title in thread mode brings up subscription options. Cool changes.
We really need the ability to rep through mobile, or the IB app. I try on my devices in browser mode, but the rep text box pop up basically gets squashed. I, like many, rarely use PCs anymore.

Okay, replying through the mobile platform is a problem. New screen shows up, emoticons are shown, with no clear text field. I input the word "Test" into the open field above the first smile(you can see it in the predictive text suggestion, so inputs are recognized). No characters, or cursor appear. The "x" to turn off/back out of the emoticon selector doesn't function. I'm in browser mode to reply.
I like the potential to add links/images/etc through the mobile platform. Haven't tried it yet.

FWIW, I tried to edit my last post in mobile. The original text does not show. Just the emoticons, with no way to close them out.
I'd say mobile is pretty borked right now.
This is true on my Moto X, Note 4, and Samsung Tab 10.5, which all run AOSP KK 4.4.4.

There is a new app coming out this week. Don't know if its an updated version of the mobile app or a totally new one. There's a thread in the non automotive general discussion forum. I myself use the mobile version 99% of the time.

App is acting up
The IB app on my iPhone 5 is acting up and it's pissing me off. I try to enter a thread, (any random thread) and it comes back with this.
"Parse error
The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be the result of the software plugin being outdated. Tap the report button below to send this report to support for analysis"
Anyway, I've tried re installing the app and it doesn't make any difference.
What's going on??? Anyone else having this problem? I'm getting irritated not being able to read my favorite threads..... Besides sitting down at an actual computer anyway.

Yup, same here.
The app was abandoned long ago and is no longer being supported. IB is very close to releasing a new app, according to the thread referenced in the above post by Pitcrw6.

Figures! I paid for the current app to remove the advertising, and now they've abandoned it. Guess they need to make more money.
