Some questions about motor and trans swap
So im in the process of hunting down a 300 i6 and aod to do a swap. Has anyone else done this? What kind of gas mileage you get how was the power any issues with adjusting the tv cable? Best year to get this from?
Right now im running a 240 i6 with a holley 390 cfm carb offy intake and efi exhaust to a walker y pipe 2.5. The only question mark i have is my rear end which according to my speedo has my engine screaming at 65 so im guessing its 4.11 plus. Also running a t-18 transmission currently and would prefer to move to automatic.

The 240 & 300 are same family engines. You are going to have some driveline connection issues but should be doable with planning. I would move the intake, carb, & exhaust to the 300. The OD will help with mpgs.
You will need an auto steering column. Have you done ps & pdb upgrade yet?

Moved on from the 300
So I made the hard decision of pulling out my 302 crate motor and AOD transmission out of my 1955 roller cause well realistically it wont be running for a very long time so instead of buying more stuff ill just cannabalize what i have.
Now I know i need motor perches and mounts and possibly a crossmember and transmission mount. im taking the radiator I have in the 55 and moving it to the 1966 and need to locate a driveshaft that i can have cut to fit this application. Also any advice what kinda of rear end ratio i should move to when this is done?
