Why no aftermarket turbine wheel?

With all the technology advances on the intake side, why are there no aftermarket options on the exhaust side? Surely the stock exhaust wheel isn't less of a compromise than any other production part.

Probably just due to it being part of the shaft...you can swap around shafts though too, to get something like the brute66 or d66 with machined compressor housings.

The wheel has the most effect on the performance of the compressor side, compression characteristics are largely controlled by the wheel, changing A/R of the housing has little effect.

The housing A/R has the most effect on the turbine side, because the velocity at a certain rpm is mostly driven by the size of the passage the exhaust gas goes through, changing A/R has big effect on performance. That's why there's several different turbine housings available but only one turbine.

There are some being made for some popular high performance applications. But since there isn't a high demand for them on the less popular ones, they are probably not choosing to offer them.

I've only run across 3 options but have no idea if the Van turbine will work in a Superduty.

A Superduty turbine wheel has a 76.20mm inducer and a 67.73mm exducer (79 trim).

The van turbo turbine wheel has a 76.20mm inducer and a 69.84mm exducer (84 trim).

K Performance GTP38 Turbine wheel has a 76.5mm inducer and a 67.8mm exducer.

Please don't give the aftermarket any ideas. That's the last thing people afflicted with PMS need... something else to have to buy and try.

And then have to buy and try again, and again, because "so and so" said that the "such and such" new wheel is supposed to be quicker, quieter, cooler.
