You need this to help the hood to close properly.

There are a couple of things that I know of that cause the hood to **** of one way or another like that.
The first is that the pivot pins in the hinges are worn out or their holes are elongated thus changing the geometry of the hinge. This is and easy thing to check if you have the tool to remove the spring (I don't either). Once the spring is removed any and all plat in the pivot points is easy to check.
OR, It might be that one hinge is gummed up and sticky while the other is operating nice and smooth. Try pulling both hinges, soak them in solvent and blow them out with compressed air until clean the re-lube them and reinstall.
It is also possible that one spring has lost tension but that is a rare thing. Just give both springs a good eyeball inspection for signs of bending or kinks.
