Before and after pics of my truck. R.I.P.

My 2011 ECSB gave it's life Monday morning to save the life of my best friend who was driving it. It was hit head on by a Chevrolet pickup that was out of control after hitting the truck in front of mine head on. My best friend walked away bruised but unharmed while the driver of the Chevrolet was not so lucky!

Ford builds one tough truck!

The new replacement, 2013 ECSB XLT 5.0 with 3:55 LSD

Yep, my truck did it's job well and protected him as well as can be expected.

I loved my truck, it was the ultimate service truck in my opinion. I run a dairy repair service and this was my personal service truck. Not only had it given me almost 100,000 miles of trouble free service it was also one of the fastest new body style trucks around. It ran a best of 7.44 @ 93.5 MPH in the 1/8th before it died.

Impressive to see almost no deformation in the cab. Thank goodness Ford has done their homework and your friend is alright. Congrats on the new rig as well.

Glad to see your best friend is OK! Your truck gave its all to do that, and my fondest wish is mine would do the same service for me. And I'm betting the K&N intake was NOT rescued from the old truck....

Nope, not much under the hood was salvageable. I already have a new 2 1/2" true dual exhaust with x-pipe installed along with a new cold air kit and a new nitrous kit I had on the shelf. All I need performance wise is SCT to send me back my programmer unlocked so I can install a new tune.

I know we've all heard it before, but you can always get another vehicle -- but not another life. Thank God your best friend was in the Ford!

i can't imagine how hard it must be to be involved in a fatal crash.

fault or no fault, i'm not sure how well i would handle it; My thoughts and prayers will be with your friend.
