Noob leaf spring shackle bushing question.

Hi all,
I'm changing my leaf spring shackle bushings, but I can't find the correct size to fit the shackle eye. I have been looking at replacement parts for a '75 because most of my running gear is from a that year. I picked up some MOOG SB308 bushings that are correct for my leafs but it's too small for the shackle. All of the time I have spent looking, I could have machined a set of bushings for the bushings.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pic.
Thanks for your help.

.07 difference? That's about 1/32" difference, which is 1/64 per side...Is that too sloppy?

And the original bushing looks split, are you measuring it with the sleeve inside it? Or just by itself?

The ID of the eye is 1.35. The bushing was in there so tight I had to split it to get it out.

if you can get your hands on a lathe I say cut them yourself.. that couldn't be more than a few dollars in material

i'm having a similar problem, i have a skyjacker leaf pack in the rear and cant find bushings to fit the front eye, skyjacker claims they use oem sizes but everything i come across is to small. my spring eye measured out between 1.619 and 1.625 ( out of round i'm guessing ) still searching but right now no luck. my only option is to go back to a rubber bushing. i've already repaced everything else with poly .

@Jdeshler - I will make them from pipe I have in the shop if the new ones don't fit.

@Murf - They look good so I ordered them! Fingers crossed and toes crossed....I hope they fit!!!

@Hyperactive460 - It looks like Summit has several that choices for 1.60" eye diameter.

I got the 6807 Prothane bushings delivered today and................they will work...........after I make a thin bushing.

Murf, I do like this kit better than the Moog bushings, they are still a little too small but they will work. Thanks!

Follow up- were they really a bit too small, or did they snug up when you tightened them in? I just got a set delivered for my weekend project
