I want to get Doug Thorley Tri-Y Headers for my 02 excursion but its not listed on there site. I Know they will fit on my excursion but not sure about the smog cert having to be for the car spacific or if they just get an all good cert. I emailed them but never got a response.

 

The ones for the f250 will fit. No EGR on the Excursions

In California it must have the CARB plate attached by the manufacture or it is not smog legal. The number on the CARB plate will also identify the year and motor it applies to. Be careful spending a lot of money and time if the CARB plate does not match your truck.

 

So it just say year and engine not model of car. Pretty sure it has it for the super duty smog legal in CA

 

Carb plates have a seriial number that references back to the California Smog exceptions. In the bulletin it will list all makes models engines and applications. CARB has become very good at allowing quality parts to be used.

Still it needs the plate that refers to this Executive Order.
