Jon's 50 F1 is finally done
Hey everyone, This is the final installment of Jon's 1950 F1 overhaul.
It runs beautifully, handles like a slot car and has the power to run with the big dogs (and beat most of them)
I loved the opportunity to build it for him and hope he drives the wheels off of it because I built it to drive and it does all that.
Gary
Jon brings my buddy Bill back from a ride in his new toy. Bill's 62 chevy pu is in the background.
My lovely wife and Jon admire the truck.
At drive height the front of the running board has 3.5 inches of clearance with a wopping 4.5 at the rear, all without C notching the frame.
I made the full height smoothy tailgate and liked it so much I plan on making another for my truck (someday).
As you can see from the reflection in the paint, the body work is flawless and the finish is mirror smooth.
I wish that I could take credit for the body work too but I had nothing to do with it after I welded in all the patch panels. A local body craftsman named Cal did all the magic on the truck and he earns a gold star and a heart felt thanks.
If any of you want to see the whole process we went through on this truck check out the link in my signature line, enjoy.
