Stranded... Please help

The truck all of the sudden is not starting for me. The batteries are new and it's getting plenty of juice. When I turn the key it clicks and my only guess is the starter. Would that indicate a bad starter or a ground problem somewhere? Please help and thanks in advance!

I think it could be a starter,if you haven't already go and check the connections on the starter every battery connection that there is and the connections on the starter solenoid, there is a good chance there are loose connections somewhere and check the wiring that comes from the batts and runs to the starter and stuff i had my truck do this and it was wires that were corroded badly, the batt cables where they go into the post connections may also be corroded, good luck i hope you get it running soon it sucks being broke down

Did yall already jump your starter relay? Are you getting 12v at the starter solenoid?

If it just "clicks" it's probably the starter relay. Jump the two big terminals with a big screw driver (with the key in the "run" position) and see if the truck cranks and starts.

The odds are its the starter, that's what mine did. When I took it to the parts store they tested it and it tested OK. I just said, give me a new one.

It could be any of the above. A $5 voltmeter will tell you which.

If I go and try to jump the two terminals, and it starts, what would be the problem then? And where is the starter exactly? Pass side by bell housing?

That means the starter is good.

One other test - pull the connector off the SMALL terminal on the relay, and run a jumper between that and the battery. If it starts with that, then the relay is good and the problem is "upstream" - wiring, neutral/clutch switch (auto or manual BTW?), ignition switch, etc. If it clicks the relay but still doesn't start, then the relay is faulty - making noise but not actually contacting.

The starter relay is on the passenger side fender well

The starter is under the truck passenger side attached to the bell housing with 3 large bolts.

The starter solenoid has one large wire and one small wire connected to, it is mounted to the starter motor
