Curious, where is the factory rev limiter set?

 

I would think it would be @ 6000 rpm, I had it close a couple of times and then it shifted... when I was completing my break in process

If you really want to find out, warm it up good... then put it in neutral and let it rip...

 

I have punched it hard a few times and have only seen 5600-5700ish.

 

It only goes up to around 3500 in neutral.

 

I went just past 6k 2 Ohio meets ago (16k+ lb trailer flat out uphill). The dang thing didn't want to shift, had to let up a bit (this is pre-tuner) to get it to drop into 2nd.

 

I've had it up to 5700 going down a hill on my first tow. The truck kept downshifting when I'd put the brakes on. I feel kinda stupid about it now, but it wasn't funny at the time. Got er figured out now though and love the truck. Just got home a couple hours ago from a 250 mile camping trip with the travel trailer. Came through some heavy winds and the truck/trailer was just rock solid with the equal-I-zer hitch.
