On Edit: Here are the actual study results. On the first post click on the .PDF link and last page of .PDF file has a very good comparison chart ... enjoy.

This is the chart that convinced me to use the Supertech! It had better lubricity so I have gone with it. I had a Durmax then though and then a Cummins after that. I wasn't sure how the 7.3s did with the low sulfur diesel.

For those who, like me, avoid Mall-Wart like the plague, the key is "TC-W3". The label should also say "ashless" somewhere. "Low ash" (which is the more common two-cycle) will NOT cut it; not good for the injectors. Amazon $15/gal free shipping -
Amazon.com: Mag 1 60136 TC-W3 2-Cycle Motor Oil - 1 Gallon, (Pack of 4): Automotive Amazon.com: Mag 1 60136 TC-W3 2-Cycle Motor Oil - 1 Gallon, (Pack of 4): Automotive

I pre-mix it with Power Service, and put 1oz of the mix per gallon of fuel; been doing this for a few years now. Forgot what kind of mileage we used to get, but we never get below about 18, even puttering around town and in winter. And often get 21-22 on the open road.

Yeah, I hate WM too, but that stuff is easy to get as well as my Oil and Filter. I need to try that mix and see how it does. Just more mixing for me to have to do. Apparently the low sulfur has additives put in it for lubricity, but I don't believe them.

I have been running 14oz Redline Racing 2C oil per tank for the last three or four years. Can't hurt!

By pre-mix, do you mean that you mix the power service with the oil so at the filling station your all set to dump and fill?

Cool, I just use 20 oz pop bottles. What ratio would you mix in a bottle this size? I never have been much for measuring, Thanks!!

I do 3 parts 2-cycle, 1 part PS, so in your case, 15oz of oil then the rest PS. A 20-oz bottle should be just about enough for a full tank fill-up.

In the past I would use PS every once in awhile. I didn't very often. I'm doing oil & PS now in an attempt to make this engine as quite as possible. The old lady is bitching so much about it I'm getting ready to get rid of it.

I wish I could say it 'ain't so'. If I can't make it quite this winter this winter then I'm going to have to explore other options, maybe like a motor home, or a 6.7
