Found a lose wire??

Found a lose wire??

So I was Changing my starter yesterday and found a large lose wire near the left front of the engine near the radiator? any Ideas?

Probably the wire for daytime running lights,that are not used here in the states but rather Canada,or the block heater wire,either way no need to be concerned.

What color(s) on the insulation? Any terminal/connector on the end?

Could be a ground that goes on the stud on the front of the engine below the exhaust manifold.

It is a black wire about 1 cm in dia. and has an pressed eye on the end.

if this is an engine ground wire would it keep my engine from starting or acting like it had a bad starter??

No, not a little wire like that. The battery negative cables bolt directly to the engine block, and that's what completes the circuit for the starter. That wire technically grounds the frame to the engine, not the other way around.
