Broken Manifold studs V 10 engine

Before I got my 02 E 450 I did a little research on the motor. different ones said the spark plugs blow out sometimes. Now I have been seenig a lot of broken eXhaust manifold studs breaking. Is this eventually going to hapen to my motor? The motor is in my motorhome, and has 40,300 mi. Stan

Can't say but if your not subjecting it to salty roadways during winter or other places that increase corrosion they may last. When I purchased my 08 a couple years ago it had 24k miles and needed to have the manifold and studs replaced. But it was driven in salty winters..

Regardless of whether it needs it now or not, it WILL need it done eventually, just get it changed to some stainless grade 8 bolts with or without headers and you'll be okay for a while
