Questions about a 1964 F-100 warranty tag

Hi all, new member with a new to me 1964 F100. Been lurking the last couple of weeks but just finally joined and paid my dues.

Hopefully I can get some information decoded from the warranty tag:

F10CR512888

W.B. 114

Color J

Model F100

Body 181

Trans G ( could be a 6 )

Axle 12

Max GVW 500

Cert Net HP 135

RPM 3800

DSO 710779

Truck was purchased without motor or trans.

Looks to have either factory or dealer installed power steering.

Thanks to all in advance for any help.

Welcome to FTE

F10 = F100 2WD

C = 292 2V

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.

512888 = 1964, assembled March 1964.

114" Wheelbase.

J = Rangoon Red.

F100 2WD, 5,000 lbs. GVWR

181: 1 = Light Gray Crush Vinyl & Light Gray Rib Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.

G = FX Cruise-O-Matic.

12 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.89-1 / No Limited Slip / 3,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

135 net HP @ 3,800 RPM

710779:

71 = Los Angeles (SoCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

0779: Domestic Special Order number. Truck special ordered by original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

P/S would have been a dealer installed kit. No trans code of 6, so it has to be a G.

Welcome to FTE Charlie.

I've moved your post out of the thread it was in and into its own thread in the 1961-1966 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks forum since it's not a Unibody.

Thanks for joining up with us at FTE as a Supporter.
