Front coil spring pads

So I have a question. I've realized that even after a drop track bar bracket, and adjustable track bar that my truck still sits lower in the front on the passenger side. Friend of mine has a similar truck with the same engine and hits sits level. When looking at what else could be causing this I noticed the lower spring pads do not look the same. On the drivers side, it sits level. On the passenger side, it sits tilted, bowing the spring out a little which if I had to guess would pull that side of the truck down.

Pictures:

With that in mind, I was looking for a new pad to buy, and at JBG there are three different ones to chose from. I have no idea which one I should get though. My truck is a 75 but the steering is set up for a 79, and the front axle is unknown if it's original to the truck although still a D44. Here they are:

Bronco Graveyard calls it a pad, but that's not what Ford calls it.

Look at the pic: Which do you want, the 5B300 "Front Spring Mounting Retainer?"

Or the 5A307 "Front Spring Seat?" These are basic part numbers only, cuz that's all that's shown in pics.

One thing to check when you do order perches is there are two different widths between the bolt holes on the top of the radius arms.
I originally had '74 spring perches that are closer together.
The '79 radius arms I swapped in have a wider bolt pattern.
I also noticed that the different perches sit differently on the radius arm. That may be the problem.

I just saw the links in your post.
It looks like you have late radius arms with the front shock mount horns. Can't quite tell cause they are straight on pics.
If that is true you should order the perches/ pads whatever indicated for '79s.
You can see in their (JBGs) product pics they are different.

I need the seat 5A307. But from JBC, there seems to be three different kinds. I need to find out right one of the three would be the same as the one on the drivers side (first pic)

@turbohunter Yea it has the front shock mounts but I took them off because there's nothing to mount on to up top. So I know for sure this isn't the original axle.

So which on of the two sat flatter on the radius arm when you switched yours?

I have four sets.
The only ones that sat right were the '79 perches supplied to me by Todd Cash.
Looking at the JBG deals, the first one for '79s looks like the one that works.
You can look at it and see that that bolt pattern is wider.
You might give them a call when you order and make sure.

Well I just looked at the spacing of the bolts for both seats. The driver's side is approx. 1.5" apart and the pass. side is approx. 2" apart. Well I guess that I'd want the on that's 1.5" and just drill another hole in the right spot. Can you find out from yours which year that was?

Late models are 1 5/8" centers

I'm not going against the numbers you're giving but the distance from the center of the bolts is 2" on the pass. side and 1.5" on the drivers side so I don't know what's up with it.

Those are just my numbers on my stuff.
Haven'y heard of or seen all those different numbers.
If you measured the perches on your truck that could account for the 1/8 inch diff.

All I can tell you is my stock as a rock '74 D44HP radius arms measured 1 inch centers.
My '79 D44HP and radius arms measured 1 5/8.
I was able to call Todd Cash and get " '79 perches" sent to me that worked perfectly.
I am guessing if you call JBG they will have you covered.
Good luck.

Let us know how it goes.
Sometimes parts matching is an adventure, like accessory pulleys.

Well I called JBG and they said that all were the same thing except for the bolt spacing like you've already stated. The only thing that changed through the years with the spacing. We both came to the conclusion (I had an idea that it might be) that the one I have is bent.

So I'll order a new one for a 79 sometime soon.
