Setting ignition timing on a 370?

Anybody have any info/ web links on how to set the timing on my 370 (out of an F600) I have a book on the way but I'd like to get it running before it gets here.

Thanks...

I see this is a rather vintage post But I found some 86' 370 engine specs
ASF 32 plugs, 0.44 Gap
8* BTDC Timing(I would try 10*-12*or so)see if it pings
600 RPM Idle
2200 RPM Fast Idle
