New Fifth Wheel

Just signed the papers today. Got a 2014 for 42k. Take delivery in two weeks so I'll post pics when I can. Need slider recommendations! Also what air bag system is best? I want to be able to inflate tires if their is a system that does that in addition to inflating the bags.

Congratulations Fontana, that thing looks nice!

You're not going to find a system that will inflate your tires as well as airbags, as those systems require a unique hub assembly that isn't available for a Super Duty. I had great luck with the AirLift system, and lots of times people install systems that have an outlet on the side of the truck for airing up tires.

Thank you. I am soo excited. The air thing was a curiosity. I can search for what's out there. I would like some tips from the folks who have already invested.

I ran an aux tank under my 08 that I used to air up the bags and then had air for tires.

It takes a big tank to push enough air for the 80 psi you will need though.

I had the firestone ride rites.

Very nice. I assume from the model number it's 36 feet?

Check this thread for airbags: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...lift-bags.html

Karl posted a good way to get them from Airlift for a good deal.

Congrats, nice fiver! Damn 4 slide-outs. Must feel like a mansion inside. According to the link you provided it's 42'!! Watch them curb stones. Wow, I'm amazed how light it is for that length. Also, pin weight seems very light but I guess some of these newer fivers are made with much lighter material. Mine is near 2800lbs when loaded up.

I have a Pull Rite Super Slider for a hitch. Works great and is completely automatic. No levers to pull for it to slide.
